Description |
Sampler. Embroidery on cloth, possibly linen. Five sets of alphabet in capital letters in different styles and sizes. Alternating color from letter to letter. Initials of Ministry: JR (James Rankin) AB (Amos Ballance) SJ (Sarah Jenkins) PB (Paulina Bryant). Two rows of initials, apparently members of the Youth Order of Centre Family - YO and CH are embroidered at right side of the initials. Below is a row of lower case letters and a row of small numbers 1 through 23. Unfinished line. Two full names: Elizabeth Spaulding Born Aug 6 1825. Mary Ann Ewing aged 9 MC LG BS SR PR MJ CS MM MC EG MB CT SS SS AD VG JR RD MR NS |
